Tech Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture the growth of Tech Leads, ensuring alignment in technical direction and team development.

• Serve as a liaison among engineering, product, and business sectors, maintaining regular communication with the executive team.

• Guarantee technical quality, architectural consistency, and adherence to best practices across teams.

• Assist with pivotal technical decisions and guide architectural choices (including both monoliths and microservices).

• Be actively involved when necessary, helping the team to tackle technical obstacles and unblock progress.

• Organize and enhance engineering processes through the application of agile methodologies.

• Monitor deliveries to ensure predictability, efficiency, and tangible business impact.

• Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy, and technical excellence among team members.

• Aid in defining the technical roadmap that is in line with business priorities.

• Promote ongoing improvement of practices such as CI/CD, observability, testing, and deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Tech Manager, Engineering Manager, or Tech Lead, with responsibilities in team management.

• Strong technical background in backend development using TypeScript and Ruby on Rails.

• Capability to engage hands-on when necessary.

• Experience in systems architecture, including both monoliths and microservices.

• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.

• Experience with AWS is essential.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Strong grasp of engineering best practices and software quality standards.

• Experience in leading multiple teams or Tech Leads effectively.

• Background in managing resilient projects intended for a large user base.

• Understanding of messaging systems (e.g., SQS/SNS or similar).
