Tech Lead, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential features and platform elements – this role involves active coding.

• Take ownership of technical architecture decisions, including system design, service boundaries, data modeling, and API contracts.

• Lead code and design reviews, establishing the technical standard and providing guidance to engineers.

• Address complex engineering problems, performance issues, and cross-functional concerns.

• Promote the adoption of engineering best practices: TDD, CI/CD, observability, and security-by-design.

• Manage a small agile team – conduct sprints, set objectives, remove obstacles for engineers, and oversee delivery commitments.

• Mentor and support engineers through regular one-on-one sessions, constructive feedback, and pair programming.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Operations to refine roadmaps and convert requirements into technical plans.

• Recruit and onboard engineering talent in collaboration with leadership.

• Spearhead the team's integration of AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted testing) and establish internal best practices.

• Identify chances to integrate AI/ML capabilities into the Radiant platform to enhance customer value.

• Assess emerging AI tools and work with leadership to outline an AI strategy roadmap for engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, including scalable production systems.

• Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET (Framework & Core); strong knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with ASP.NET Web API, React, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks.

• Proven history of designing concurrent, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and experience with message brokers (MQTT, RabbitMQ).

• TDD-oriented mindset with robust unit and integration testing practices.

• At least 3 years in a technical lead or senior engineering lead position with direct team responsibility.

• Demonstrated capability in managing personnel, executing agile processes, and delivering complex software projects.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants and a genuine passion for advancing AI adoption in engineering teams.
