Tech Lead – iGaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical architecture for systems, guaranteeing scalability, reliability, and security throughout the domain.

• Establish and uphold high engineering standards, which include code reviews, testing methodologies, and CI/CD practices.

• Propel technical enhancements by pinpointing and implementing appropriate technologies, tools, and methodologies.

• Serve as the primary expert for intricate technical challenges, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.

• Collaborate with fellow tech leads and engineering teams to maintain consistent system integration and architectural coherence.

• Act as the principal technical liaison for the domain, updating on progress, risks, and crucial decisions.

• Work alongside product teams to prioritize technical initiatives based on business value and system impact.

• Detect delivery risks early and establish mitigation strategies to assure predictable execution.

• Define and sustain testing strategies to uphold production-ready quality standards.

• Contribute to the long-term technical vision and roadmap in partnership with leadership and product stakeholders.

• Ensure that all technical decisions are in alignment with wider architectural and business goals.

• Continuously enhance engineering processes, workflows, and tools to boost efficiency and reliability.

• Mentor and assist engineers, providing direction and structured career advancement opportunities.

• Drive performance management through clear expectations, regular one-on-ones, and actionable feedback.

• Engage in hiring and onboarding to help build and cultivate a high-performing engineering team.

• Strong foundation in software engineering with experience in delivering scalable, reliable, and secure systems.

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or serving as a technical lead within cross-functional settings.

• Ability to adjust communication and leadership styles to accommodate both junior and senior engineers.

• Experience in engineering capacity planning and workload management to ensure sustainable delivery.

• Proven track record of guiding architectural decisions and defining technical direction within product-focused environments.

• Strong grasp of contemporary engineering practices, including clean code principles, testing, and CI/CD.

• Experience working with distributed or high-traffic systems and addressing complex technical issues.

• Solid understanding of system design, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.

• Comfortable assessing and implementing new technologies that provide clear benefits.

• Excellent collaboration skills with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

• Ability to convey complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience contributing to technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

• Ownership mindset with a strong emphasis on delivery quality and continuous improvement.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Experience in iGaming is advantageous.
