This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
• Lead the technical and architectural decisions of the team.
• Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions.
• Define development standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Manage and prioritize technical debt.
• Drive continuous improvements in architecture, quality, and performance.
• Actively participate in the development of critical functionalities (hands-on).
• Conduct code reviews.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.
• Establish testing, observability, and monitoring strategies.
• Resolve complex technical incidents.
• Mentor and technically develop engineers.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on development plans and career paths.
• Facilitate the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
• Work with the Product Owner on the technical roadmap.
• Participate in refinements, estimations, and planning.
• Identify technical risks.
• Coordinate with Architecture, QA, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and other teams.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of experience leading development teams.
• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing projects with React.
• Experience in scalable frontend architectures; microfrontend experience is desirable.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Experience in CI/CD, version control with Git, and microservices design patterns.
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful services.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
