Tech Lead

📋 Description

• Guide technical decisions and navigate engineering trade-offs.

• Support engineers in delivering high-quality work.

• Engage in coding, pair programming, conducting peer reviews, and driving software and architecture design.

• Conduct 1:1 meetings and assist in career progression.

• Ensure a robust feedback loop.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to define scope, prioritize effectively, and align on outcomes.

• Lead and mentor a globally distributed engineering team.

• Advocate for best practices in architecture, CI/CD, testing, and code quality.

• Foster a DevOps mindset from design through deployment and beyond.

• Architect and deliver scalable and maintainable systems and features.

• Collaborate with AI experts to integrate adaptive and personalized learning experiences.

• Partner with product, design, and data teams to shape the roadmap and define project scope.

• Enhance delivery speed, reliability, workflows, and technical decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.

• Senior engineering experience in fast-paced, product-led environments.

• Ideally, experience leading teams or managing large projects.

• Strong software architecture skills including API-first design, modular architecture, asynchronous communications, and scaling patterns.

• Daily utilization of LLMs and agentic AI tools.

• Extensive backend expertise.

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, with a preference for React.js.

• Proficiency in Agile and Lean methodologies.

• Experience in Docker-based, cloud-native environments.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• Proven track record of delivering user-facing products.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Required overlap with the UK timezone.

• Ability to work across various disciplines and time zones.
