Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the Android application and deliver top-notch functionalities in close partnership with the design team.

• Influence the direction and future of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and offer assistance to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Acquainted with Android components.

• Proven experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Possess product design intuition and user empathy.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehend the significance of tests and approaches to writing them.

• Self-motivated to enhance the application and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.
