Tech Lead – AI Architect

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the complete technical architecture for a dual-mode agentic AI system operating in both offline (edge) and cloud-connected (AWS Bedrock) environments.

• Lead architectural decision-making related to agentic orchestration, data synchronization, voice and chat interfaces, as well as cloud infrastructure; create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

• Serve as the primary technical authority within the Engineering POD and the main technical contact for client stakeholders.

• Integrate an AI-forward development approach into every phase of the project — utilizing tools like Claude, Cursor, and agentic coding assistants to enhance implementation, code review, and technical documentation.

• Guide and align the engineering team across AI/ML, full stack, and integration workstreams.

• Assume direct implementation responsibility for cloud infrastructure provisioning, local SQLite data layers, cloud data mirroring, STT/TTS pipeline integration, and REST API surface development.

• Construct and configure the AWS environment from end to end — covering Bedrock, Guardrails, storage, and connectivity services.

• Execute the edge-to-cloud data synchronization strategy between offline local storage and AWS-hosted data stores.

• Contribute to the implementation of agentic orchestration, integration testing, and iterative deployment; assist new team members with onboarding and knowledge transfer.

• Design the agentic orchestration layer incorporating tool usage, contextual memory, and conversational interaction patterns for both offline and connected modes.

• Choose an edge LLM based on previous experience with similar hardware profiles; set up AWS Bedrock with Guardrails for connected-mode reasoning and content safety.

• Collaborate with the AI/ML Engineer on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and proactive recommendation logic.

• Ensure architectural consistency and integration quality across voice (STT/TTS) and chat modalities on a unified backend.

• Provide technical quality assurance and architectural governance across all POD workstreams.

• Lead cross-functional engineering coordination across AI/ML, full stack, product, and UX tracks.

• Promote an iterative delivery approach — releasing testable software at every phase review checkpoint and facilitating investor-facing demonstrations and POC presentations.

• Maintain an AI-forward mindset in your daily activities, leveraging tools like Claude, Cursor, and other contemporary AI assistants to deliver high-quality work efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years in architectural leadership roles.

• Proven hands-on experience with agentic AI systems, encompassing orchestration frameworks, tool usage patterns, and architectures for conversational memory.

• Direct experience with AWS and AWS Bedrock, covering environment provisioning, Guardrails configuration, and the integration of cloud-native services and conversational AI systems (STT/TTS).

• Experience in designing and implementing offline-capable or edge AI systems, including local model inference, constrained runtime environments, and embedded data layers like SQLite.

• Proficient in at least one modern backend language typically used in AI and cloud-native stacks (e.g., Python, TypeScript/Node.js).

• Experience in developing and delivering proof-of-concept or innovation-driven technical programs under time constraints.

• Demonstrated use of AI-forward tools such as Claude and Cursor.
