This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Accountable for overseeing daily operational performance within the Title and Settlement department.
• Guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality service, process efficiency, compliance with regulations, and satisfaction of customers.
• Offers leadership to operational teams engaged in settlement/closing, post-closing, recording, and related workflow activities.
• Collaborates closely with Compliance, Underwriting, Technology, and Business Leadership to foster operational excellence, standardization, and ongoing improvements.
• Supervise daily production activities across Pre-Closing, Closing, Funding, Recording, and Post Closing functions.
• Track service level agreements (SLAs), turnaround times, quality metrics, and productivity goals.
• Ensure that operational workflows adhere to ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and underwriter expectations.
• Establish standardized procedures and operational controls across all processes.
• Address escalated issues concerning orders, files, customers, lenders, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in processes; suggest and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Promote lean operating practices to reduce defects, enhance cycle times, and improve customer experience.
• Maintain operational playbooks, SOPs, job aids, and training materials.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational specialists, analysts, or supervisors.
• Establish performance objectives, conduct evaluations, and ensure accountability for operational results.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams including Compliance, Underwriting, Legal, Sales, Vendor Management, and Customer Success.
• Serve as a point of escalation for key accounts, lenders, and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field (preferable but not mandatory).
• Over 5 years of experience in Escrow or Settlement Services operations.
• More than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong expertise in managing operational workflows, customer service delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Preferred experience working with title underwriters, lenders, or large-scale title operations.
• Solid understanding of: Title search, examination, and curative processes.
• Closing/escrow procedures, funding, and recording practices.
• Fundamentals of title insurance underwriting.
• ALTA Best Practices and RESPA regulations.
• Quality assurance and operational control frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, people management, and stakeholder-influencing capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret performance data.
• Proficiency in title/settlement systems (e.g., Resware, Qualia, proprietary platforms).
• Keen attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
