This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead the People Operations function autonomously.
• Take charge of our salary band framework following its initial rollout and enhance it further.
• Foster and integrate our new feedback culture frameworks to ensure they are practiced, not merely published.
• Guide the application of AI tools within People Operations; while the tools are available, their effective application presents new challenges.
• Oversee HR-related initiatives to enhance collaboration and streamline internal processes.
• Implement strategic decisions effectively.
• Develop and uphold official company policies.
• Act as the primary contact for all employee-related HR inquiries.
• Manage the complete recruiting process, including interviews, candidate communication, and applicant management in both German and English.
• Continuously refine and enhance recruiting processes.
• Prepare monthly payroll.
• Liaise with external organizations such as health insurance providers.
• Oversee vacation requests and sick leave notifications.
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintain employee records in our HRIS (Personio).
• Standardize our operational procedures; some are documented, while others need updating — you will consolidate them into a single, reliable source of truth.
• Draft HR-related documents, including employment contracts, certificates, and references in both German and English.
• Completed commercial vocational training, a degree in business administration, human resources, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in HR management and recruitment.
• Strong practical knowledge of German labor law, including contract drafting, terminations, and compliance; experience with an international workforce is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• High self-motivation, ability to work independently, and experience in a remote work setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and outstanding communication abilities.
• Proficient in both German and English (minimum C1). German is essential for employment contracts and legal matters; English is the primary working language within our international team.
• Strong affinity for IT and a solid understanding of software.
• Initiative to identify opportunities for AI applications in People Operations and the drive to implement them proactively without needing to be prompted.
