This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• In your role as Team Lead for Electrical Engineering / AC Planning for PV Systems, you will oversee the technical planning and execution of our grid connection and AC strategies for photovoltaic, storage, and charging infrastructure initiatives.
• Leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering, you will guarantee that our projects are optimally planned, executed efficiently, and successfully integrated into the grid.
• Additionally, you will offer technical leadership to the team, enhance processes and standards, and actively participate in building a sustainable and scalable engineering organization.
• Onboarding: Familiarize yourself with our project portfolio and the technical standards for photovoltaic, storage, and charging infrastructure projects.
• Comprehend our processes from technical design and grid-connection applications to commissioning.
• Acquaint yourself with our internal interfaces and collaboration with grid operators, suppliers, and service providers.
• Aid ongoing projects while gaining insights into our existing planning and grid-connection concepts.
• Prepare grid-connection and metering concepts for photovoltaic, storage, and charging infrastructure projects, and develop GGV models.
• Design transformer and handover substations, including preparing specifications (bill of quantities) for suppliers.
• Develop and detail electrical systems for rooftop and ground-mounted photovoltaic installations.
• Conduct on-site inspections to document existing infrastructure and formulate technical implementation concepts, cost estimates, and single line diagrams (SLDs).
• Coordinate technical alignment with grid operators, service providers, and internal departments to create optimal grid-connection solutions.
• Document projects and ensure clear reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to grid connections, AC planning, and metering concepts.
• Support the successful execution of our projects throughout all project phases.
• Provide technical leadership and encourage the development of the team.
• Assist in onboarding new colleagues and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Define quality standards and ensure compliance.
• Be responsible for relevant operational KPIs and aid in establishing scalable structures.
• Drive continuous improvement of our processes, systems, and operational methods.
• Support the optimization of our tool landscape and technical standards.
• Contribute your expertise to scale GIGA.GREEN sustainably and efficiently.
• A degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification, such as a certified electrical technician with several years of practical experience.
• Extensive practical experience with the grid connection of photovoltaic systems in the medium-voltage range.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and electrical installations, particularly in protection and control technology, transformer-based metering, and the design of substations.
• Several years of professional experience in the PV project sector.
• Experience in a coordinating, technically leading, or managerial role.
• A strong ability to motivate teams, share knowledge, and support the professional development of colleagues.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and technical requirements for photovoltaic systems and grid connections.
• A structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented working style.
• High reliability and punctuality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Class B driving license with a willingness to travel regularly to our projects within Germany.
• Proficient in German and possess good English language skills.
