📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of retirement plan administrators to ensure high-quality output, productivity, and compliance with deadlines.

• Manage all facets of qualified retirement plan administration and annual compliance for a designated team of retirement plans.

• Review, approve, and provide final quality assurance on the work of team members, ensuring precision, consistency, and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Monitor workloads, track project advancements, and proactively manage deadlines to guarantee timely completion of annual administrative obligations.

• Collaborate with clients to request, acquire, and verify census data, financial details, and other necessary documentation.

• Act as the primary escalation point for intricate administrative, compliance, and client service challenges.

• Compose and evaluate non-standard correspondence, client communications, and technical reports.

• Review standard client correspondence and reports generated by team members.

• Assess annual compliance testing, including nondiscrimination, coverage, top-heavy testing, and other required compliance evaluations.

• Assist with and review Form 5500 preparation, including reconciliation of trust activities and plan assets.

• Collaborate closely with attorneys, actuaries, financial advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders to address technical issues and support client requirements.

• Provide consulting assistance during the implementation of new retirement plans and aid in onboarding new clients.

• Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, boost efficiency, and improve quality across the administrative team.

• Mentor and develop team members by offering ongoing coaching, technical guidance, performance feedback, and training.

• Stay updated on ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations through ongoing education, professional development, and company-sponsored training.

• Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other retirement plan administration software to efficiently manage daily tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of comprehensive defined contribution retirement plan administration experience within a TPA environment.

• Active ASPPA or NIPA professional designation (QKA, QPA, CPC, APA, APR, or equivalent).

• At least 2 years of experience leading, reviewing, and overseeing the work of other retirement plan administrators.

• Proven experience in reviewing technical work and maintaining accountability for team deliverables.

• Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor regulations governing qualified retirement plans.

• Excellent skills in client relationship management and communication.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and accounting skills.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality work and continuously seeking process improvements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
