This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute a range of timekeeping responsibilities, including leading the weekly and biweekly timecard reconciliation process.
• Oversee clock-in/out activities for hourly craft employees.
• Facilitate data entry for new hires, rehires, terminations, rate changes, and other HR updates to guarantee prompt submission to the Gray Construction payroll team.
• Enter and manage per diem in CMiC, ensuring that the uploaded amounts accurately reflect the provided information.
• Review payroll reports for precision, making corrections as necessary.
• Aid in the timely submission of payroll-related taxes.
• Process check adjustments and address shortages.
• Verify and record vacation, sick, and holiday pay.
• Offer payroll support to NexGen employees and third-party craft personnel.
• Audit craft timecards for unapproved punches and resolve discrepancies with project approvers.
• Manage weekly craft payroll, which includes generating reports, overseeing rate changes, and processing per diem requests.
• Handle terminations for team members in UKG Pro, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to best practices, while escalating any concerns or risks to the HR Manager.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Maintain the confidentiality of payroll records and sensitive employee data.
• Plan, organize, and carry out tasks as directed.
• Meet requirements for attendance and punctuality.
• Process unemployment claims, employment verifications, garnishments, and child support.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of payroll and timekeeping experience are required.
• Proficient in payroll software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CMiC, SmartBarrel, and E-Time is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the capability to multitask.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with state and federal labor laws and regulations is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to prepare and compose routine correspondence.
• Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and colleagues.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong teamwork.
• Ability to address practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
• May require assistance from the Payroll and HR Manager to resolve more complex issues.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
