• Prepare and evaluate tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• The Tax Supervisor must maintain professionalism at all times and will have ongoing direct client interactions.
• This role requires critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• The ideal candidate should efficiently work under pressure during tax season to meet stringent deadlines.
• The position involves handling projects of increased complexity. Must exhibit the ability to take a disorganized trial balance and make necessary Adjusting Journal Entries (AJEs) to rectify it.
• Prepare thorough and precise returns while also reviewing the returns prepared by others.
• Generate documentation to support tax return calculations.
• Capable of mentoring a team of Associates and Seniors.
• Review data entry, identify, and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with managers and partners while keeping the team updated on progress.
• Increased interaction with clients throughout the tax return process, potentially spanning multiple years.
• Comprehend federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Showcase your expertise! Utilize your knowledge in practical scenarios and think creatively.
• Share your insights and perspectives with your team.
• Participate in professional development and training sessions regularly, applying what you learn to your assigned responsibilities.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree; CPA designation is preferred.
• Have 3-5+ years of experience in Tax.
• Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Willing to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines during busy seasons.
