This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Prepare tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for federal and state purposes for C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and individual clients.
• Organize tax-related information and provide assistance with tax notices and audits.
• Support tax audit processes.
• Conduct minor research projects.
• Oversee and assess financial data.
• Communicate project status and client-related concerns to Senior staff and/or Management.
• Collaborate with fellow tax professionals to exchange knowledge and guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Engage in training and ongoing professional development activities.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A Master's degree in taxation is preferred.
• A solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations, encompassing corporate, individual, trust, gift, and partnership taxation.
• CPA eligibility is preferred.
• Capability to apply fundamental accounting principles to various engagements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, XCM, and Caseware is advantageous.
