Tax Research Specialist – Seasonal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise and professional written responses to intricate inquiries regarding tax laws and procedures from tax professionals.

• Utilize research tools and databases to investigate tax laws and regulatory matters.

• Collaborate with colleagues and team leaders to ensure adherence to service level agreements.

• Offer clear, timely, and accurate customer service.

• Exhibit teamwork and a curious mindset.

• Keep updated with current tax knowledge.

• Assist H&R Block tax preparers in supporting taxpayers with individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active JD or CPA certification, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in law or accounting.

• Experience in tax preparation or research is highly preferred.

• Capability to investigate complex tax scenarios and convey findings in an easily comprehensible manner.

• Openness to acquiring new knowledge and skills along with a willingness to be coached.

• Ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek help.

• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
