• Prepare and ensure the timely submission of all direct and indirect tax returns across the WCA region.
• Oversee tax account reconciliations across various jurisdictions.
• Maintain a comprehensive tax repository that includes filings, payments, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Generate periodic tax compliance reports and provide insights on the overall compliance status across the region.
• Keep track of legislative and regulatory tax changes to ensure business compliance in all relevant markets.
• Conduct tax risk assessments and assist in the development and maintenance of the Group tax risk register.
• Manage day-to-day interactions with revenue authorities across WCA jurisdictions.
• Address routine tax authority inquiries and correspondence in both English and French-speaking markets.
• Assist in managing tax audits, investigations, and disputes as they occur.
• Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to resolve tax issues efficiently and proactively.
• Calculate and manage intercompany and transfer pricing billings throughout the WCA region.
• Support the implementation of transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements.
• Work closely with the Senior Tax Manager (Strategy) and Head of Tax on broader strategic tax initiatives.
• Advise on tax aspects of new market entry, operational structuring, and cross-border business activities.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing tax efficiency and optimizing the Group’s operating model.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, sales, and operations teams on tax-related matters.
• Assist commercial and operational teams in understanding the tax implications of business activities.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Help strengthen tax governance, controls, and internal processes throughout the Group.
• 5–7 years of progressive tax experience, ideally blending Big 4 or mid-tier tax practice with in-house corporate tax exposure.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-country tax compliance across West and Central Africa.
• Strong understanding of both Anglophone and Francophone tax environments, specifically in Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, and DRC.
• Practical experience managing tax audits, disputes, and interactions with revenue authorities in English and French-speaking jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with IFRS and OHADA accounting and reporting regulations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Additional tax qualifications like ADIT or Higher Diploma in International Tax are a plus.
• Strong technical understanding of direct and indirect taxes across WCA jurisdictions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to draft and review tax correspondence, documentation, and reports professionally in both English and French.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously across diverse markets.
• Cross-cultural agility and effectiveness in various business environments.

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar tools.
• Full professional proficiency in both English and French.
