This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee daily operations related to remote tax preparation.
• Prepare and/or review individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Assist tax preparers with operational inquiries and workflow management.
• Ensure accuracy, documentation, and timely completion of tax returns.
• Safeguard secure and confidential taxpayer information.
• Adhere to IRS due diligence and electronic filing requirements.
• Engage in professional communication with clients and tax preparers.
• Keep organized records for clients and tax preparation activities.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of client relationships.
• Participate in mandatory operational and compliance training.
• Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and internal processes.
• Build and manage a personal portfolio of tax clients.
• Create strategies to attract new clients and boost tax return volume.
• Promote the tax business through marketing efforts, networking, and community involvement.
• Recruit and cultivate a team of tax preparers.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support throughout the tax season.
• Oversee daily business operations and client workflow management.
• Ensure proper collection and maintenance of client documentation.
• Monitor submitted returns and funded return activities.
• Follow IRS guidelines, due diligence standards, and professional ethics.
• Protect confidential taxpayer information and adhere to security protocols.
• Stay updated on tax regulations, training requirements, and industry developments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster enduring client relationships.
• Educate clients throughout the tax preparation process.

• Possession of an active EFIN or the ability to apply for and secure IRS approval.
• A valid PTIN for personally preparing federal tax returns for compensation.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Reliable computer and internet access is essential.
• Ability to safeguard confidential taxpayer information.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
• Experience in tax preparation, tax office management, or team leadership is preferred.
• Applicants lacking an EFIN must obtain the necessary IRS approval before engaging in activities requiring an EFIN.
