Tax Manager – Private Client Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare and analyze tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and various entities, ensuring precision and adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Foster meaningful relationships with clients while maintaining connections with the firm's leadership.

• Develop expertise and share specialized knowledge aligned with the firm's niches, initiatives, and requirements.

• Take charge of accurate time tracking and billing for yourself and your team.

• Oversee the training, supervision, and continuous development of associates and senior staff.

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the client's business, assume responsibility for completing tasks, and meet client deadlines.

• Proactively seek new client relationships and engage in client/potential client seminars to enhance networking prospects.

• Stay informed about updates in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and actively apply this knowledge to client engagements.

• Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to synchronize efforts, share insights, and ensure the efficient and effective provision of tax services.

• Hold yourself and your direct reports accountable for achieving developmental objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in tax compliance and/or tax consulting in public accounting or a combination of public and private experiences.

• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification is essential.

• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing US-based tax returns for individuals.
