Tax Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews of individual, partnership, S Corporation, corporation, and business tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Act as the main point of contact for designated clients throughout the tax engagement process.

• Articulate complex tax issues in a clear, professional, and easily understandable manner.

• Address client inquiries and provide prompt guidance on tax-related topics.

• Identify tax planning opportunities and potential risk areas.

• Collaborate with Tax Seniors and team members to facilitate efficient workflows and timely submissions.

• Perform tax research and resolve intricate tax issues as necessary.

• Review workpapers and supporting documentation for thoroughness and accuracy.

• Keep accurate client documentation within the firm’s systems.

• Stay updated on changes in federal and state tax laws and relay pertinent information to the team.

• Contribute to process improvements that enhance both client experience and internal efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and review.

• Extensive experience in reviewing individual and business tax returns.

• CPA, EA, or another relevant tax certification is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.

• Proficient in utilizing professional tax preparation and accounting software.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements while adhering to deadlines.

• Client-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail.
