This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740), which includes analysis of the effective tax rate, calculations for deferred taxes, income taxes payable, and management of uncertain tax positions.
• Conduct US international tax calculations encompassing FTC, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT; review US international compliance forms prepared by third-party service firms.
• Oversee the global status of income tax return preparations to ensure timely and accurate return-to-provision calculations.
• Manage global tax accounting processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial statement audits and coordinate responses to audit inquiries.
• Offer technical tax accounting guidance on complex transactions, such as M&A activities, restructurings, and new business initiatives.
• Ensure proper recording of tax accounting for APB 23 in collaboration with the international tax team.
• Work in partnership with regional tax teams to maintain consistency and accuracy in global tax reporting.
• Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and accounting standards, evaluate their implications, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Develop and sustain tax accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist leadership with tax-related insights and strategic planning.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, which may include public accounting and/or industry experience.
• A BA/BS degree is required; a CPA and/or Masters in Taxation is preferred but not mandatory.
• A solid grasp of US federal and state income tax law, along with knowledge of international and indirect tax.
• A self-starter with robust quantitative and analytical skills, capable of quickly addressing technical requirements and innovating processes.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and complete projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with personnel at all levels, across various functions and organizations, including external contacts.
• Capacity to work independently.
• The candidate must uphold the highest standards of integrity, business controls, and practices.
• High proficiency in Excel, tax research software, and tools is essential.
• Experience with the Workday accounting system is a plus.
