This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Manage the group's multi-jurisdictional tax compliance tracker using Asana.
• Prepare and submit Australian obligations, including quarterly BAS, annual income tax return, R&D Tax Incentive claims, FBT, Employee Share Scheme reporting, and TPAR.
• Collaborate with advisors and the payroll provider to coordinate US federal, state, and payroll tax filings.
• Maintain registrations and nexus positions for US sales tax.
• Oversee corporate income tax, payroll, and indirect tax filings for entities outside Australia and the US, including Canada and Israel.
• Evaluate registration and permanent establishment risks in new jurisdictions and escalate technical issues as needed.
• Coordinate the annual refresh of the transfer pricing memo and uphold intercompany agreements.
• Prepare ASIC lodgements, update the corporate register, and create board resolution templates for legal review and filing.
• Manage annual insurance renewals with the broker and gather necessary financial, headcount, and risk information.
• Maintain a compliance evidence archive in SharePoint for easy audit retrieval.
• Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring filings.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation across operating jurisdictions and highlight implications for the group.
• A minimum of four years’ experience in corporate tax and compliance, ideally gained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, including work on Australian client obligations.
• A degree in accounting, tax, or finance.
• Strong understanding of tax fundamentals with the ability to apply legislation in unfamiliar jurisdictions.
• Organized and deadline-driven, capable of managing a high-volume lodgement calendar.
• Comfortable managing and challenging external tax advisors.
• Familiarity with Xero, Asana, and SharePoint, or similar tools.
• Proficient in clear written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently within a small finance team.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Experience with Anrok or another US sales tax platform is an advantage.
• Strong skills in collaboration, adaptability, hands-on execution, and a scale-up mindset.
