Tax Accountant, Level 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist with all indirect tax compliance duties and filing requirements for the EMEA legal entities.

• Collaborate with local accountants and external advisors across EMEA.

• Submit payment requests to the Cash team for VAT payments in accordance with statutory deadlines.

• Perform VAT account general ledger reconciliations and turnover reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Aid in the accounting and auditing process for VAT liabilities and receivables related to financial reporting.

• Partner with the EMEA VAT Manager to enhance the indirect tax compliance process, which includes identifying and implementing VAT opportunities and process enhancements.

• Prepare the global monthly tax account analysis file.

• Assist in managing audits, inquiries, and foreign VAT refund claims.

• Support various ad-hoc tax projects as required, including due diligence for potential acquisitions and new territory VAT registrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess professional accounting and/or tax qualifications and be proficient in English.

• Have substantial indirect tax experience acquired at a prestigious accountancy firm or within an in-house multinational tax team.

• Be a highly motivated individual with a desire to thrive in a dynamic and commercially focused environment.

• Exhibit strong organizational and methodical skills, with the ability to effectively plan and manage tasks to meet deadlines.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, using the most suitable medium for each context.

• Be analytical and innovative, with solid research and problem-solving abilities.

• Ideally, possess experience with multiple country VAT regimes.
