Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the personnel within the accounting department.

• Conduct data reviews, data entries, reconciliations, and transaction processing.

• Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information.

• Deliver financial information accurately and on time.

• Interpret and implement accounting policies and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Oversee the month-end financial closing process and identify trends.

• Summarize the current financial status by analyzing general ledger accounts.

• Timely submit financial statements and review the profit and loss for departmental profitability.

• Manage relationships with financial vendors.

• Utilize accounting software for enhanced analysis and development.

• Engage in financial modeling and forecasting.

• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.

• Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.

• At least 5 years of experience in an operational finance/accounting role.

• Experience leading month-end closing processes.

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements.

• Experience in performing general ledger analysis.

• Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance environment is preferred, including exposure to claims billing.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to utilize critical thinking and manage time effectively.

• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.

• A stable internet connection for remote work is required.
