Talent Practice Leader – Skill Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the enterprise skills governance framework, encompassing decision rights, standards, and operational routines.

• Manage the Skills Council—coordinate intake, prioritize initiatives, and ensure the execution and sustainability of decisions across the organization.

• Guide the enterprise skills framework, guaranteeing its practicality, consistency, and alignment with job architecture and learning objectives.

• Establish quality benchmarks for AI-inferred skills, including validation criteria and governance protocols.

• Take ownership of skills data integrity—implement audit processes, address issues, and foster enterprise confidence in skills data.

• Specify business requirements and data standards for skills within Workday and associated systems.

• Promote uniform adoption and compliance with skills standards across key talent processes.

• Collaborate with HR Tech, Analytics, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to convert skills strategy into actionable standards, insights, and system specifications.

• Provide clear analyses on skills shortages, supply and demand, and emerging workforce needs for strategic decisions.

• Convert enterprise business objectives into targeted skills governance initiatives.

• Uphold enterprise skills standards, guiding functions and segments while addressing any deviations.

• Direct comprehensive program execution with robust project management, stakeholder alignment, and disciplined delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in HR, talent Centers of Excellence (COEs), people analytics, workforce strategy, HR technology, or comparable fields.

• Familiarity with skills taxonomies, skills-based talent frameworks, job architecture, data governance, or related domains.

• Demonstrated ability to convert strategy into actionable operational models, governance processes, and implementation plans.

• Strong program and project management skills, including leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed settings.

• Experience collaborating with HR, business, and technology teams to provide enterprise solutions.

• Comfortable navigating the intersection of HR, data, and technology.
