This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Conduct PURE 360 Risk assessments by analyzing diverse and complex property conditions across various regions, construction styles, and environmental influences to evaluate risk exposure.
• Travel up to 50% to locations such as Louisville, Lexington, and Indianapolis.
• Examine and interpret findings to determine loss probability and severity, employing professional judgment to formulate appropriate recommendations.
• Propose loss prevention strategies by identifying feasible solutions and prioritizing actions based on the impact of risk.
• Utilizing professional judgment, technical expertise, and discretion, this position evaluates property conditions, assesses replacement cost factors, identifies key risk elements, and determines the significance of exposures that may influence underwriting decisions, potential losses, and business operations.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and internal stakeholders to provide insights that aid in risk selection and business decision-making.
• Assess unique site conditions and risk factors by leveraging technical knowledge and experience in geographic and peril-specific contexts.
• Function independently in the field with adaptability in approach and execution, modifying methods based on property-specific attributes.
• Articulate assessment outcomes and recommendations clearly, including the rationale behind decisions and potential risk implications.
• Act as a trusted representative of the PURE brand in members’ homes, establishing credibility through thoughtful and knowledgeable interactions while embodying humility, professionalism, and genuine care in every engagement – delivering a service experience that reflects our dedication to excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, though not mandatory – relevant field experience is highly appreciated.
• 3+ years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance carrier, or in a similar insurance role with exposure to property risk assessment and broader risk management practices, OR 5+ years of experience in high-value home construction, skilled trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC), home inspection, appraisal, or a related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proven ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in complex scenarios.
