This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Build the recruitment engine: As the inaugural hire in this role, you will design and manage the complete recruitment process for Engineering, Commercial, and Generalist positions.
• Source with AI: Go beyond traditional inbound methods and job boards. Leverage AI tools and automation (such as talent mapping, Claude Code, n8n) to systematically pinpoint and engage high-potential candidates.
• Represent Apheris to candidates: Serve as a credible and persuasive voice of the company in all interactions.
• Attract the top 1%: Identify and secure candidates who are not actively seeking new opportunities and do not conform to typical profiles.
• Close with accuracy: Take ownership of the offer process, from benchmarking to negotiation.
• Collaborate with leadership: Partner closely with leadership to define roles, shape hiring strategies, and continuously enhance our talent assessment methods.
• A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with a proven track record in a scaling startup environment.
• Direct recruiting experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, including roles in ML Engineering.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in AI-driven drug discovery.
• You are an "AI-native" recruiter.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools to enhance talent mapping, screening, or candidate engagement.
• Comfortable working across a diverse range of roles, from technical to commercial and generalist positions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with ATS (preferably Personio) and a strong desire to establish and adopt new AI-enabled tools.
