This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of and spearhead the Talent Acquisition function at PolicyMe, playing a key role in defining our hiring strategies and scaling the company, while also directly managing critical roles in both technical and business areas, with a particular emphasis on Product and Engineering recruitment.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers to outline recruitment needs, agree on candidate profiles, and efficiently advance the hiring process.
• Drive sourcing initiatives across various channels including outbound outreach, referrals, networking, pipeline development, and early talent programs to attract top-tier candidates.
• Enhance scalable, high-quality hiring practices across the organization by pinpointing bottlenecks, refining recruiting workflows, and fortifying interview processes along with manager calibration practices.
• Leverage recruiting data, market intelligence, and funnel trends to inform hiring decisions and elevate overall recruitment effectiveness.
• Manage recruiting reports and dashboards, utilizing hiring metrics, funnel data, and market insights to enhance recruiting performance and assist in decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and the wider People team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that necessitates continuous communication and swift alignment.
• 1–2+ years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager, Recruitment Lead, or in a team lead role, with significant responsibility for a function or a large segment of the hiring process.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth setting where priorities and hiring demands shift rapidly.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective navigation of constant alignment, rapid feedback cycles, and cross-functional partnerships.
• Demonstrated capability in overcoming challenging hiring obstacles, particularly in Product and Engineering roles.
• Strong talent evaluation skills, capable of assessing both technical abilities and long-term team compatibility.
• Comfortable functioning within a lean People team where hands-on involvement and contributions to execution, process enhancement, and problem-solving are crucial.
• Proven ability to elevate interview quality through interviewer training, hiring manager calibration, and structured hiring methodologies.
• Ability to balance urgency with careful consideration while ensuring a positive candidate experience and maintaining high hiring standards.
• Resourceful and solution-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to addressing hiring challenges.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities, establishing trust with hiring managers, leadership, and candidates alike.
