Talent Acquisition Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as the lead recruiter, overseeing the complete hiring cycle for all departments at BusPlanner.

• Duties encompass, but are not limited to, crafting job descriptions, proactively sourcing high-caliber talent through LinkedIn and other channels, conducting candidate screenings, arranging interviews, and managing offer letters.

• Identify, engage, and secure top candidates using both outbound and inbound recruitment strategies.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to grasp talent requirements and formulate effective sourcing strategies that yield rapid results.

• Develop and sustain a robust talent pipeline to address both current and future hiring needs.

• Take ownership of and refine essential recruiting processes to improve candidate experiences and reduce time-to-hire.

• Provide support for basic HR operations, including onboarding, performance management processes, and compliance.

• Ensure accurate employee information is maintained in our HRIS (Workable).

• Assist with fundamental HR tasks such as documentation, engagement coordination, and internal communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or talent acquisition, preferably within SaaS, startups, or early-stage companies.

• Experience in environments where HR functions needed to be established or redefined from scratch.

• Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. labor laws and best practices regarding the employee lifecycle.

• Capability to manage a diverse portfolio of HR responsibilities, providing both proactive and reactive support.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities — comfortable advising leadership and facilitating employee discussions.

• HR certifications or relevant continuing education (e.g., CHRP) is an advantage.
