Tagalog VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields. Training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ilocano/Tagalog".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial but not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is an asset.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
