Systems Engineer, SME

📋 Description

• Lead the requirements for network architecture and engineering, ensuring all criteria are satisfied.

• Oversee cross-functional teams across diverse tactical environments.

• Take ownership of architectural and additional requirements while guiding prototype development to achieve mission objectives and fulfill partner needs.

• Direct technical evaluations and translate results to align with mission partner requirements.

• Perform assessments of network operations, architecture, and capabilities to pinpoint gaps, blind spots, and potential operational risks.

• Propose and spearhead mitigation strategies in collaboration with the customer.

• Facilitate working groups, action/technical teams, and address interface needs, cyber requirements, architecture, cloud, node connectivity, and other areas as needed or directed by the customer.

• Support the ABMS Program Office by acting as an architect and engineering leader across Digital Infrastructure.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

• At least 10 years of experience in cyber, cloud, and tactical environments.

• Strong capability to manage multiple priorities, systems, and stakeholders effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.

• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and documentation (preferred).

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams (preferred).

• Ability to enhance workflows and boost team efficiency (preferred).

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a government or defense context (preferred).

• Master’s degree in Cyberspace Operations (preferred).
