Systems Engineer – Microsoft 365

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture, configuration, and continuous enhancement of the Microsoft 365 environment.

• Design and oversee identity and access systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO), conditional access, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Implement and uphold security and compliance controls throughout M365, including Defender, Purview, and audit preparedness.

• Lead endpoint and device management initiatives via Intune, focusing on provisioning, compliance, and lifecycle management.

• Create automation and integrations utilizing PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Power Platform.

• Enhance Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive environments by applying governance and lifecycle standards.

• Monitor system performance, usage, and security indicators; proactively address any issues.

• Generate documentation, standards, and operational playbooks.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, HR, and other departments on identity lifecycle and system integrations.

• Act as a technical consultant on M365 capabilities, strategy, and user adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in administering and engineering Microsoft 365 environments.

• Extensive knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune.

• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM/PIM).

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation techniques.

• Experience in implementing security and compliance measures within M365.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.

• Security-centric mindset with a solid understanding of zero trust and least privilege principles.

• Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across various functions.
