Senior Business Systems Engineer – SuccessFactors BTP CPI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, development, deployment, and optimization of business systems and applications that enhance operational efficiency and drive business impact.

• Convert intricate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions, while actively participating in capability roadmaps and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with operational teams to establish best practices, improve system observability, and advocate for sustainable engineering standards.

• Foster team collaboration and provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers to bolster technical expertise and promote excellence within the team.

• Design, configure, develop, deploy, optimize, monitor, and enhance systems and business applications.

• Clearly exhibit an understanding of the impacts of their usage on the organization.

• Contribute to capability roadmaps and perform technology research for innovation and continuous improvement.

• Document debt and waste.

• Establish sustainable feedback mechanisms for continuous enhancement.

• Set standards for operational procedures and offer guidance on best practices for engineers.

• Regularly assess current business processes, applications, systems, and identify opportunities for improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of functional and technical experience with organizational hierarchy and foundational HCM data across core SAP systems, including SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), Employee Central Payroll (ECP), and ERP Central Component (ECC).

• More than 3 years of functional and technical expertise utilizing Business Technology Platform - Cloud Platform Integration (BTP CPI) to effectively connect SAP and non-SAP systems, applications, and data sources in both cloud and on-premise settings.

• At least 3 years of functional and technical proficiency in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) for developing, customizing, and extending applications within the SAP ecosystem, such as SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• Strong capability to design, develop, test, and deploy applications/systems using established technologies across a variety of environments.

• Familiarity with various programming languages and techniques.

• Experience with applications and a proactive approach to introducing ideas and methodologies to enhance quality engineering principles.

• Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across multiple systems.

• Knowledge of embedded data analytics capabilities and a solid understanding of key business data models.
