This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver comprehensive systems engineering services, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and documentation of solutions.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Integration, Operations and Maintenance, and User teams to enhance the system.
• Provide systems engineering and system administration support across a diverse range of hardware and software, such as Hyper-converged infrastructure, Enterprise servers, Enterprise and object storage, End-user compute, Networking and boundary security, Platforms and services, Automation and scripting, Operating systems, Databases and data platforms, and other software.
• Execute installation, configuration, hardening, and testing for new and modified system changes.
• Recommend, implement, and validate patches and security fixes.
• Interface and coordinate with government and commercial partners and customers.
• Develop and document CONOPS, TTPs, and SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to all technical and architectural standards and DoD/AF guidance.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with peers and other team members.
• Provide engineering support for systems and networks at both austere and fixed locations to deliver mission capabilities at the edge.
• Willing and capable of traveling on military and commercial aircraft.
• May be required to work outside of regular duty hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, and overtime to meet mission requirements.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science-related field or possess an equivalent combination of at least four (4) years of relevant education, professional training, or work experience.
• Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably within an Air Force or DoD environment.
• Maintain an IAT Level II certification in compliance with DoD 8140 (i.e., Sec+ CE [MCSA]).
• Experience in Systems Engineering for Enterprise IT systems is essential.
• Skilled in performing user interaction, identifying end-user needs, and documenting required system capabilities.
• Proficient in researching potential solutions and recommending optimal options.
• Capable of designing holistic IT solutions.
• Experienced in installing, testing, and documenting new capabilities.
• Skilled in integrating and deploying new capabilities into existing systems.
• Provide training to Systems Administrators for the operation and maintenance of new capabilities.
• Develop and document CONOPS, TTPs, and SOPs.
• Provide contributions to and adhere to Configuration Management processes.
• Familiarity with common base-level (Air Force) communication and IT systems, as well as knowledge of Air Force Instructions (17 and 33 series), particularly 33-115v1.
• All authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with GSA Per Diem rates and the Department of Defense Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
