Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain both physical and virtual servers within a Hyper-V and VMware environment.

• Oversee Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 ecosystems, which include Intune, networking, storage, and backup solutions.

• Provide Level 2-3 helpdesk support while collaborating directly with the Cyber Administrator and Infrastructure Administrator.

• Assist in multi-site IT initiatives and contribute insights on infrastructure performance and reliability.

• Support security tools such as SIEM/EDR platforms, manage alert triage, and assist in vulnerability scanning and backup/disaster recovery planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Typically, 5+ years of experience in Hyper-V and Windows Server administration, as well as Office 365 administration.

• Proficient in advanced Windows Server and Hyper-V administration.

• Strong skills in advanced PowerShell scripting.

• Practical experience with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.

• Comfortable supporting security tools, including SIEM/EDR platforms and managing alert triage.
