Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute, configure, and uphold designated systems, applications, and infrastructure components as per customer requirements.

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to establish requirements and overarching system design.

• Manage and resolve issues with operating systems, virtualization platforms, and business applications to ensure consistent availability and reliability.

• Implement patches, updates, and configuration modifications in line with change-management protocols.

• Automate routine administrative tasks utilizing scripting and configuration management tools.

• Track system health and performance, responding to incidents to minimize downtime.

• Assist in defining future system architecture to enhance capacity and availability.

• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of IT technical experience.

• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.

• Experience in administering Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server environments.

• Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM.

• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud fundamentals (AWS, Azure).

• Proficiency with monitoring and ITSM tools, including Nagios, Prometheus, or ServiceNow.

• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
