Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Engage with key customers and partners in Japan through solution presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts to drive regional revenue growth.

• Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to achieve regional revenue objectives and broaden market presence.

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor during the sales cycle, assisting customers in recognizing the value of our solutions.

• Oversee and maintain the Customer Demo Lab environment, ensuring it is operationally ready and supports various test scenarios.

• Work alongside engineering and product teams on test setups, contributing to automation and innovation initiatives within the lab.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Extreme Networks hardware and software within the lab.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or network consulting.

• Strong comprehension of enterprise networking, including switching/routing, wireless LAN, and/or cloud-managed networks.

• Good understanding of the Network Industry Landscape.

• Experience working with vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with cloud-managed networking platforms and their integration with security and automation workflows.

• Proficient troubleshooting skills with CLI, SNMP, and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).

• Experience with network simulation and testing tools.

• Comfortable working in both physical and virtual network environments.

• Vendor certifications demonstrating expertise in networking, wireless technologies, access control, and cloud are highly preferred.

• Experience as a Network Engineer or Lab Engineer in a technical setting.
