Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Offer technology and product consulting for account opportunities.

• Provide technical sales assistance.

• Deliver comprehensive technical presentations for customers, prospects, and channel partners.

• Assist in RFI/RFP submissions.

• Organize and lead Proof of Concept initiatives.

• Design solutions that align with customer needs.

• Participate as a subject matter expert on designated virtual teams.

• Contribute to various team activities.

• Travel both domestically and internationally.

• Support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design specifications.

• Collaborate on customer project teams, design and PoC laboratories, success criteria, and overall solution architecture.

• Foster and maintain relationships with customers and partners as a trusted advisor.

• Potentially take on a team-lead role for account teams.

• Deliver technical training on products in collaboration with partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Dutch and English.

• Exceptional presentation abilities.

• Proven, successful pre-sales engineering experience in the industry and territory in a comparable role.

• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 switching.

• Familiarity with IPv4/v6 routing principles.

• Knowledge of overlay networking and VPN technologies.

• Understanding of Wi-Fi operations and design.

• Knowledge of network security concepts.

• Capability to collaborate on customer project teams, design and PoC labs, establish successful PoC criteria, and create solution designs.

• Determination and resilience as an advocate for internal customers.

• Ability to build, cultivate, and sustain customer and partner networks as a trusted advisor.

• Willingness to take on a team-lead role when necessary.

• Experience working with partners is advantageous for technical product training.

• Experience with major accounts and successful deal closures.

• Extreme Networks certifications are preferred but not required.

• Recognized industry certifications are an advantage.

• Capability to demonstrate understanding of future trends and market directions.

• Ability to assist with customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements.

• Solid general hands-on lab experience.

• Domestic and international travel is required.
