This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Oracle, and the Esri Suite for GIS Web Applications.
• Integrate software components and troubleshoot any integration challenges.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, software bugs, and integration issues.
• Enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of integrated components.
• Maintain and refresh system architecture as needed.
• Refactor and optimize existing code to modernize software.
• Create system design and software architecture documentation, diagrams, and related materials.
• Assist with system upgrades, software version testing, and infrastructure compatibility.
• Gather requirements, conduct testing, and manage configuration and software releases.
• Support automated pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Aid in the design and implementation of containerized applications.
• Suggest system enhancements, architecture development, and modernization strategies.
• Collaborate with teams to promote communication and achieve project milestones.
• Assist with technical maintenance tasks, security evaluations, vulnerability identification, and remediation recommendations.
• Perform root cause analysis and deliver timely solutions for technical issues that affect system performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with JavaScript, Python, Nginx, and the Esri Suite.
• Proficiency in functioning effectively within an Agile software development team.
• Knowledge of GIT and peer/code review processes.
• Experience integrating software applications, APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization.
• Must be able to secure and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with TestRail.
• Experience in writing unit tests in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React.
• Knowledge of Oracle Databases.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and meet contract obligations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook.
