Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Deliver technology and product consultancy along with technical sales assistance for account opportunities.

• Conduct high-level and detailed technical presentations for clients, prospects, and channel partners.

• Assist with RFI/RFP submissions.

• Organize and facilitate Proof of Concept activities.

• Create solutions that fulfill customer needs.

• Act as a specialist within assigned virtual teams.

• Engage in additional team activities.

• Travel domestically and internationally as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both German and English.

• Proven record of success in pre-sales engineering within the industry and region in a similar role.

• Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 switching.

• Familiarity with IPv4/v6 routing concepts.

• Knowledge of overlay networking and VPNs.

• Understanding of Wi-Fi operation and design.

• Awareness of network security principles.

• Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based network management platforms is an advantage.

• Understanding of compute and network virtualization principles is beneficial.

• Knowledge of network management and orchestration software is advantageous.

• Familiarity with SD-WAN is a plus.

• Skills in automation scripting and APIs are beneficial.

• Capability to collaborate as part of customer project teams on design and PoC labs.

• Ability to establish criteria for successful PoCs and contribute to comprehensive solution designs.

• Expertise in building, developing, and maintaining customer/partner networks as a trusted advisor.

• Willingness to take on a team-lead role when additional resources are required.

• Experience in working with partners for technical training on products is advantageous.

• Experience with major accounts and closing deals is important.

• Extreme Networks certifications are desirable but not strictly necessary.

• Industry-recognized certification is a plus.

• Ability to showcase knowledge of future trends and market directions.

• Capability to support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements.

• Good overall hands-on lab experience.
