This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Deliver level 3 support for all Managed Services clients, primarily focusing on servers and their associated services.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within systems and infrastructure for our managed services customers.
• Proactively identify and address problems within a client's infrastructure environment.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to comprehend their business needs, translating those into technical solutions to address their challenges.
• Collaborate with team members across the organization to ensure positive outcomes for the customer.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends within the managed services sector.
• Create and maintain documentation related to systems and infrastructure.
• Participate in the (compensated) on-call schedule and occasional (compensated) overtime work.
• Mentor and nurture junior team members, promoting a culture of learning and development.
• Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer, working with servers and hypervisors; experience in Microsoft SQL administration is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effectively troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining composure and clarity in explanations of problems and preventative actions.
• A passion for technology and a strong commitment to ensuring optimal functionality of all tech; eager to learn new technology solutions and concepts for effective communication with staff and external vendors.
• A positive attitude and proactive mindset, evidenced by a successful history of assisting others in resolving technical challenges.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts easily to change.
• A personality that assures others that no matter the task—whether daunting or mundane—you will commit to seeing it through to the best of your ability.
• Knowledge of or certifications in Linux SUSE or comparable systems is highly valued.
• A solid understanding of ticketing systems is beneficial.
• Microsoft and other relevant industry certifications.
• Exceptional research skills, often referred to as "Google-fu."
