Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Provide IT Support services to end users

• Utilize a ticketing system to manage support inquiries

• Maintain documentation and adhere to the organization's rules and guidelines

• Comply with strict change control procedures

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of IT Experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, Systems Administration)

• End-User Support / Desktop Support: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting for desktop and mobile devices

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Support primarily for the Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD)

• Systems Administration: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server Platforms, Active Directory, Group Policy, and knowledge of Citrix XenApp is advantageous

• Experience with Sophos or similar products for endpoint threat management

• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls

• Experience in an MSP environment

• The candidate must fulfill all physical job requirements, which include, but are not limited to, the following: ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs; stand/sit for extended periods; push/pull; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands/fingers for handling or feeling; reach above head or below knee level; and work around machinery and material handling equipment.
