Systems Engineer 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assisting with the planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of network servers within the department to fulfill specified requirements.

• Providing software support and implementing servers, including the infrastructure that supports them.

• Holding primary responsibility for identifying and resolving hardware and software technical issues and malfunctions associated with network infrastructure and all related servers.

• Supporting digital transformation initiatives.

• Understanding the Microsoft security patch cycle and applying patches to servers as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience).

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mission-critical enterprise server environments, specializing in network engineering (both hardware and software).

• Exceptional technical knowledge and aptitude in networks, network topologies, network file servers, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to work independently with minimal to no daily supervision.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Proven knowledge of hardware: Dell and HP; Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 2003 through current, VMware ESXi; Proficiency in PowerShell.
