Systems – DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Deploy, assess, and evaluate products related to Mirantis K8S.

• Oversee and sustain bare metal testing environments, guaranteeing peak performance, security, and availability.

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructures.

• Assess and refine best practices for the configuration and deployment of production bare metal environments.

• Automate tasks related to deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

• Engage in the design and development of CICD tools.

• Monitor, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with a geographically distributed team in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Assist in resolving customer issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) as a server platform.

• In-depth understanding of operating systems, with the ability to debug and optimize underperforming systems, as well as troubleshoot hardware issues.

• Strong knowledge of networking, including protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Experience in DevOps engineering, with a solid grasp of CI/CD core principles.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

• Practical experience with both public and private cloud environments like AWS and OpenStack.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a results-oriented focus.

• Proficient spoken and written English.

• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or any other significant programming language will be advantageous.

• Experience with high-load systems.

• Background in troubleshooting K8S cluster issues.

• Familiarity with code-review systems, such as Gerrit or GitHub.

• Experience with CI/CD systems, like Jenkins.

• Familiarity with Ansible or other operating system configuration management tools.

• Experience managing bare metal servers.
