DevOps Engineer, mk8s

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Validate deployment artifacts from an operational standpoint, enforce rigorous quality assurance protocols, and ensure effective rollback strategies and observability are established for production deployments.

• Monitor system health, performance indicators, and service availability across multi-tenant environments to guarantee stability and responsiveness.

• Swiftly identify, analyze, and resolve incidents to minimize disruption, initiating root cause analyses and implementing preventive measures.

• Mitigate operational toil by automating repetitive standard processes and validating procedures through a well-structured software development lifecycle.

• Establish comprehensive logging and monitoring strategies to meet audit requirements, conduct routine security scans, and address identified vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the operations management of private cloud solutions and overseeing containerized environments.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on operational experience with self-managed clusters and productive applications in on-premise settings.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with continuous integration and delivery processes, workflows, and related quality/security assurance tools.

• In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including enterprise protocols, load balancing, and network security.

• Basic understanding of IT Service Management processes, along with core Site Reliability Engineering principles.

• Practical experience in extracting insights from monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

• Proven capability to organize operational topics, properly document technical procedures, and enforce clear runbooks or playbooks.

• Professional proficiency in both spoken and written English and German (minimum C1 level for both languages).

• Residency in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
