Staff Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Become a part of our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to guarantee the reliability, scalability, and performance of Replit's infrastructure.

• Serve as a bridge between development and operations by implementing automation and adhering to best practices.

• Actively identify and analyze reliability issues.

• Create robust observability solutions, lead incident responses, and automate operational tasks.

• Educate and mentor the wider engineering team to embed reliability as a fundamental value at Replit.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles (e.g., DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering).

• Proficient programming abilities in languages such as Python or Go.

• Thorough understanding of distributed systems.

• Extensive experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

• Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced monitoring and observability solutions.

• Strong skills in incident management, with significant experience leading incident responses for complex systems.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and configuration management tools.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating with and mentoring engineers across various levels, from junior to principal.

• A readiness to delve into understanding, debugging, and enhancing any layer of the technology stack.
