DevOps Engineer, Mid Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Assume accountability for the scalability, stability, and availability of our low-latency, mission-critical systems.

• Improve the CI/CD pipeline by utilizing Github Actions.

• Capable of creating and managing helm manifests for Kubernetes.

• Oversee our Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Competent in establishing and maintaining monitoring systems through NewRelic, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Possess the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and identify bottlenecks.

• Take charge of the entire technology infrastructure across all company environments.

• Manage VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.

• Ensure high availability and effective disaster recovery solutions.

• Implement a secure and stable infrastructure.

• Focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization.

• Responsible for 24/7 monitoring and addressing infrastructure-tier incidents, escalating to higher tiers as necessary.

• Investigate and maintain thorough documentation of incident reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional understanding of AWS cloud services.

• Familiarity with containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.

• Ability to develop a well-managed infrastructure setup.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux internals, networking, routing, and protocols.

• Strong hands-on experience in building high availability infrastructure using EKS on AWS.

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.

• Proficient in GitOps methodologies, specifically with ArgoCD.

• Solid grasp of securing production infrastructure.

• At least 2 years of DevOps experience with production applications.

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with Terraform.

• At least 1 year of experience with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Experience in designing and architecting high-performing applications.

• Background in Agile development practices.

• Experience in a rapidly growing startup is preferred.

• AWS Certifications are preferred.
