This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for content creation at Netflix.
• Take ownership of the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle of high-performance storage platforms including Dell PowerScale (OneFS) and NetApp (ONTAP).
• Oversee file, block, and object workloads across globally distributed locations.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of storage infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Create and maintain observability for the storage fleet, encompassing metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, capacity and performance monitoring, as well as proactive alerting.
• Design and develop services that enhance experiences and productivity for post-production, animation, visual effects, and other creative teams.
• Develop, script, and automate solutions for production systems.
• Implement solutions and ensure they integrate successfully with existing system architecture.
• Engage in storage upgrades, data migrations, and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify potential challenges and implement solutions to ensure system reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, internal and external partners, technical creatives, production teams, and business and product teams.
• At least 5 years of experience in building and developing compute, storage, and connectivity tools for end-user product experiences.
• Extensive hands-on experience in operating and automating enterprise storage platforms at scale.
• Production experience with Dell PowerScale / OneFS and/or NetApp / ONTAP.
• Familiarity with SMB/NFS, snapshots, replication, tiering, quotas, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in Terraform, including modules, state management, and providers.
• Proven history of automating storage and related infrastructure provisioning.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of large-scale computing infrastructure, operating systems, and high-performance file, block, and object storage technologies.
• Understanding of complex networking challenges at scale.
• Ability to break down intricate systems into sub-components and optimize them both individually and collectively.
• A strong passion for automation, efficiency, and scalability.
• Capability to work collaboratively with business and product teams on product plans and roadmaps while taking ownership of hands-on implementation.
• Proficient in identifying high-leverage, high-value work without needing explicit direction.

• Strong principles of observability and the ability to instrument storage systems for visibility into capacity, performance, and health.
