This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the Hawkins Core layer and incorporate system context and components into prototyping tools.
• Activate eligibility and contribution criteria to guide how domain libraries enhance and elevate patterns into Core.
• Collaborate with engineering to standardize taxonomy and capabilities across design and coding.
• Formalize visual and motion standards into scalable, reusable tokens along with shared motion principles.
• Manage significant releases across product domains in coordination with XD, PM, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Work alongside domain system designers to consolidate agentic context for Commerce, Games, and Member.
• Oversee documentation, interaction patterns, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), and naming conventions.
• Team up with embedded system designers to optimize contribution workflows, assess adoption across Figma and codebases, and clarify centralization versus domain autonomy.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Designer, along with prior experience as a product designer.
• Proficient in utilizing AI for system research, audits, component generation, code contribution, and strategic communication.
• Comprehend agentic pipelines and assess when AI output meets the system standards.
• Expertise in Figma.
• Experience in creating, maintaining, and evolving design libraries.
• Proficient in design system tools and workflows, such as Storybook and design tokens.
• Background in designing for games, social media, or entertainment applications.
• Strong understanding of platform constraints and capabilities.
• Extensive visual interaction and motion experience applied through a systems perspective.
• Proven track record of governing and contributing to design systems, establishing standards, delivering scalable solutions, and fostering adoption.
• Ability to tackle complex issues with tactical execution and system-level thinking.
• Established partnership and mentoring skills.
• Capable of navigating ambiguity across design, technology, and business requirements.
