Systems Analyst, COBOL - Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• The position requires an individual to serve as a Senior COBOL Systems Analyst on a mainframe platform.

• Responsibilities include detailing activities, the significance of the operation/project, and working hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban.

• Familiarity with COBOL testing tools and test automation techniques.

• Ability to analyze functional, non-functional, and agile requirements.

• Proficiency in programming with Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or newer.

• Understanding of the IBM platform, including z/OS, DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO, MainView, Strobe, and Control-M.

• Experience as an analyst on a mainframe platform.

• Knowledge of relational database modeling and performance analysis.

• Familiarity with VSAM data files.

• Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA).

• Awareness of code quality practices and application performance analysis on the mainframe.

• Experience with access interfaces such as CICS, CICS/WEB, Broker, and MQ Series.

• Knowledge of various software testing methodologies: unit, integration, system/functional, acceptance/user story, load, performance, vulnerability, usability, and accessibility testing.

• Ability to automate functional, unit, and load tests using software tools.

• Understanding of source code version control concepts and experience with ClearCase and Git.

• Demonstrated proactivity, teamwork capabilities, self-management, and decision-making skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clarity and precision.

• A completed higher education degree (Bachelor's).
