Systems Administrator – Windows

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and analyzes user requests related to server operations, services, and technical support.

• Aids in the creation of comprehensive policy and procedure documents for the open systems server infrastructure.

• Collaborates with other departmental teams on IT server management tasks, including configuration, operations, installation, maintenance, and performance optimization of all server hardware and software.

• Monitors the daily performance of systems and communicates the status of these systems to management in relation to established performance benchmarks.

• Executes technical responsibilities assigned as a member of departmental teams to improve the functionality and availability of the open system server environment.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the strategic planning process to effectively uphold successful server management practices aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

• Investigates and integrates server components, including software, hardware, security, administration, policies, and procedures.

• Revises reporting mechanisms based on the progress of ongoing projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience will be accepted.

• At least three (3) years of direct experience in server support and implementation, which includes maintaining and supporting operating systems and client-server applications.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with operations and procedures related to configuring, tuning, monitoring, securing, and managing server software and hardware.

• Proven experience in managing and maintaining the IIS Web Server platform, application pools, and SSL certificates.

• Preferred experience with Windows Failover Cluster, load balancing, and Distributed File System.
